Year in School: Freshman

This coming school year will be my first time participating in my school’s journalism program. I became interested in journalism this past year when my class was required to do a National History Day project. The project could be about any topic, so I chose broadcast news.

After researching, I realized how much the news interested me. When it came time to present my project through a performance, I found out how much I love being the “star” of the show. After that, I signed up for my school’s newspaper and cannot wait to start writing this fall.

What is your favorite social media and why? Instagram is my favorite social media because you can visually see what other people are doing along with a caption below it so you know what’s happening.

What’s your dream job and why? My dream job, as of right now, is to be a surgeon. It might seem strange that I’m doing a journalism camp, but when I solve a medical mystery I can write an article about it with my background in journalism.

What’s one interesting fact about you? An interesting fact about me is that I might seem shy at first but when given the opportunity to talk I could go on forever.
