I live on a large farm in the Kentucky River Valley. There, we grow hay and tend to a small garden. We recently got two dwarf goats named Julio and Kevin.

I have an internship at a local printing press. The owner, Gray Zeitz, uses handset type and a 100-year-old printing press. All of the books are handmade, from the typesetting to the binding. I am currently setting type for a local author’s book of poetry. I have enjoyed working with Mr. Zeitz and Kentucky’s writers.

I have recently gotten involved with the Kentucky Student Environmental Coalition. Last spring, I had the opportunity to go to the state capitol in Frankfort and speak with state representatives about a bill regarding clean energy. Since then, I have been appointed media chair of the environmental coalition’s Political Working Group. In August, we are taking several state senators and representatives on a clean energy tour in Central Kentucky. I am excited to continue advocating for Kentucky’s environment.

Favorite Social Media: I like Twitter because it offers a wide variety of content.

Dream Job: I’d like to be a news anchor for National Public Radio.

Interesting Fact: I am a vegetarian.
