I’ve always had a constant interest in journalism. Since I was a young child, I have always aspired to do something with journalism. Beginning with photojournalism, I had also wanted to be a photographer. I thought mixing the two was perfect for me. Now I want to deal with big data and finding patterns within data. Political writing is also a passion of mine, which developed in my last academic year for the most part. It’s easy to strive for it now than ever because I have multiple people backing and supporting me and on my career path.

What’s your favorite social media and why? I am a fan of Tumblr. That specific media is full of controversy and debate. Typically there are (several) sources within that transpire. It’s fun to see both sides. It also helps that the mobile app is easy to use.

What’s your dream job and why? Political writing mixed with environmentalism is how I want to fully embody what I value as a person and as a writer. Political writing is crucial in educating me about the world, and in return, helps me in educating others. Personally, I believe people can make the best decisions possible when they have the most information at hand. All I want to do is to educate the general population on what they should know. Seymour Hersh, who covered the My Lai Massacre, is a huge inspiration on that specifically.

What’s one interesting fact about you? I have a connection to somebody with direct contact to Diane McFarlin of University of Florida. My connection is one of my supporters and wants to me to achieve my goal of being a political writer.
